Additive manufacturing is the ultimate technology that enables the use and creation of ultra-thin and complex internal lattice and honeycomb geometries. These are often used for lightweighting parts and reducing material usage.

Creating complex internal geometries is often limiting for conventional subtractive or CNC milling processes. Additive manufacturing enables the manufacture of geometries, such as internal cooling channels for tooling that would otherwise be impossible for other manufacturing methods.
